Precautionary Advice for B1, B2, and SC1 Customers Ahead of Tropical Cyclone Alfred

NEXTDC has taken all necessary precautions to ensure 100% uptime at B1, B2 (Brisbane), and SC1 (Sunshine Coast) during the impending cyclone. However, we recommend customers take the following precautions to safeguard their operations:

Recommended Precautions for Customers:
✅ Limit site visits to essential access only – Site visits during this time are strongly discouraged unless absolutely necessary. If a site visit is essential,we recommend raising a Remote Hands request via your ONEDC portal, and an onsite technician can assist.
✅ Verify backup and disaster recovery plans – Ensure your organisation's continuity plans are in place.
✅ Confirm remote access to your infrastructure – Check that you can manage systems remotely if needed.
✅ Stay updated via ONEDC – Monitor service notifications for real-time updates on data centre operations.
✅ Ensure contact details are up to date – Make sure your team’s emergency contacts are current in ONEDC.

NEXTDC Preparations:

  • B1 and B2 Brisbane, and SC1 Sunshine Coast remain fully operational with 24x7 staffing and monitoring.
  • All sites are secured and reinforced for extreme weather conditions.
  • Backup generators have been tested and fully fuelled to maintain power in case of a mains outage.
  • Redundant cooling and power systems are in place for continuous service.
